I love the world of designer clothes and translating runway looks into watercolor. Whever an awards show approaches, I'm buried in my notebook capturing my favorite celebrities and gowns.
After a few attempts at different forms of calligraphy, I stumbled into a love for brush pens. From mindlessly doodling different letterforms to addressing a hundred wedding invitations, I love the way the pens press on paper to create something special. Even though I transfer some of my work to vector art, I really enjoy starting each piece by hand.
Watercolor is my favorite medium, stress reliever, and method to paint my cat. These pieces are a mixture of my travels abroad, visual journals, commissioned work, and love for Star Wars.
I've been drawing ever since I can remember and I love returning to sketching as frequently as I can. During the summer of 2014, I lived abroad in Florence and studied drawing; many of these pieces are from my time there.
Aside from traditional mediums, I love experimenting with non-traditional techniques and methods. I have experience with silk screen, relief printing, book making, and I'm always open to try new methodologies.
